Pat McQueen (Love for Ladies)

Extraordinary Gospel

Patricia is a multi-talented contemporary Gospel singer/writer/performer/producer with a smooth and vibrant voice. She is also co-pastor of Save the Soul Ministries along with her husband Pastor LeVander McQueen.

Patricia was born and raised in Washington, D.C. into a family of musicians, singers and writers. She has ben singing and performing on stage and in churches since her eaarly teens, including performances at
  • The National Baptist Convention in New Orleans along with such greats as Shirley Caesar, BB Winans and Daryl Coley
  • The Bobby Jones Gospel Showcase based in Nasheville, Tennessee
  • The Ensenble Studio in Los Angeles
  • The East West Players where ahe sang in the stage playGod's Trombones
  • D.C. Black Repertoire where she gained recognition for her performance in the stage play A Day, A Life, A People written by Dr. Berniece Reagan, founder of the singing group Sweet Honey in the Rock
  • Also numerous college and church sponsored programs, weddings, friendds holiday programs, fashion shows and conventions for multi-cultural audiences of all age groups.
In the past Patricia used her beautiful voice to sing in the secular market songs of natural love. She had a national R&B hit single, “Love Brought You Here”, written and produced by her cousins Robert, Richard, and Jacqueline Poindexter, who also wrote and produced the classic “A Thin Line Between Love and Hate”. “Love Brought You Here” was released on Win or Lose label by Atlantic Records. She toured the nation to promote this hit single, performing in concerts and on the renowned “Soul Train”.

Patricia was also an original member of the famous singing group Sweet Honey in the Rock for four years. She wrote and recorded several songs with the group. “A Woman”, written by Patricia and sung by the group, was included on the “No Nukes” compilation project, released by Elektra Asylum Records.

Now, Patricia uses her voice for the love that lasts. She has released several Gospel projects –the latest of which is called , “It’s All About Love” which features the song “ Dreams” The sound of this CD is at once dynamic, smooth, mellow, vibrant, with an upbeat jazzy flavor that is totally committed to the Word of God.
